Granmama and the SF Zoo
My mom was in town for a few days last week and we had such a great visit! Hank, Ruby, and Charlotte loved spending time with her. The weather was gorgeous while she was here and we headed up to the San Francisco Zoo last Thursday. It was the perfect day for a visit to the zoo and it was just fun to get out and let Hank do some exploring. He loved the zoo but he wasn't super into the petting zoo this time. The only part of the petting zoo that he liked was the tractors and the saddle in addition to the ducks. He liked to chase the ducks, all the while laughing hysterically and screaming "chase, chase". We got a few dirty looks from some people but I really couldn't stop him. I tried.
Hank and Charlotte, ready to conquer the zoo.
Granmama and Ruby. Granmama wore a baby on this excursion whenever Hank was in the stroller. I'm an amateur at taking my new crew on outdoor adventures and I forgot a hat for the girls so my mom had to cover the baby with a lightweight blanket. Note to self...get the sisters some hats.
Working in the petting zoo.
No kid can resist the tractor!
He had no clue what this was for but he liked it.
When he discovered kids running and climbing through the tunnels by the prairie dog exhibit you would have thought he had won the lottery. The boy lost his mind with joy and immediately got in on the action.
Posing on statues.
Riding the carousel with Granmama. They rode this a couple of times in a row so I could get the sisters fed!
Hanging out with Ruby and Char.
It was such a wonderful visit with my mom! We took it easy and spent lots of time with the kids but we also squeezed in a fabric shopping trip so that made it really perfect. She helped out so much and even watched the kids one night so Brett and I could go out. All in all a great trip and we missed her so much when she left. Come back soon!
