On Hank's birthday weekend, we did a parent/baby dedication at our church. A parent/baby dedication is an opportunity for Christian parents to publicly dedicate themselves to raising their child to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Our pastor, Dean, makes each baby dedication special and personal, and ours was no exception. He explained to everyone the meaning of Hank's name and then chose a special verse for him:
Psalms 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: 6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Hank, it is our hope that you will some day follow after the Lord just as we have!
