On Friday, before we kicked off our California adventure with Lisa and Pearce, Hank had his six month doctor check up. He was given a clean bill of health but not before he managed to show off his crawling skills on the exam table, charm the pediatrician with his adorable smiles, destroy all paper in sight, wiggle all over the place while trying to get him dressed again, and slobber on everything. It was a fun visit!
After his check-up, we went to get his shots. We weren't sure how it was going to go because for the prior two vaccination visits, he had a pacifier to help soothe hm each time. The nurse let him play on a toy piano which kept him distracted for a little while but he's very observant these days and it's hard to hide anything from him. He saw those needles coming from a mile away and there was no way we could divert his attention. With each injection, he let out a short wail, a few big tears rolled down his face, and then he was calm. I couldn't even get a picture of him crying because it didn't last. Brett and I were stoked because we were worried he'd be really upset and we'd have to figure out how to calm him down. Nope...he was super calm. Our little champ!

Let's get the show on the road. Bring on the shots.
Ouch, that hurt, give me some of the sweet tasting one before you do any more.
