Birthday and busy bees

This past week has been a fun one! Monday was my birthday and we celebrated by going out for one of my favorites - sushi! (Don't worry, I didn't eat anything raw.) Brett's been spoiling me all week and even tolerating the dragging out of my birthday so I could have a reason to have dessert almost every night for the past week. Today I stopped the madness and closed down my birthday week with a donut.

Besides my birthday, we've been busy working on a few projects in the nursery and it's been tiring but rewarding to see things coming together. Brett has been such a superstar. I have been a little tired lately and I love that he just takes charge and does everything while I sit and watch and try not to nag too much. Last weekend he put up new window treatments, this weekend he put together the crib - all of this while the temperature was over 90 degrees and without A/C.

Tomorrow is my last Monday of work. I only have three more work days before I go into retirement. Yay!!!
