Somebody's talking

Since we returned from Austin, Hank has been a little chatter box. He is saying "da da da da da" all the time. He does it while crawling, while eating, while bathing, while strolling and even when he's supposed to be taking a nap. Last week I stood outside his bedroom door and heard him talking right when he woke up from his nap. When we were at the store the other day, he was doing it at the top of his lungs. Everyone was turning around to see what was going on. Yep, I'm that mom with the loud baby. But at least he was being cute!

I have been trying for two weeks to get it on video but every time I start recording him he stops talking. Today, I caught him while we were out on a walk.

I think he also says a form of "Ellie". He blurts out this sound when he sees her or when she barks and he has also said it a few times after I have called her name, as if he is copying me. He definitely knows what "Ellie" means. I have said her name at random times just to test him and he'll turn his head to wherever she is.

There's no stopping this little chatter box. Now, if I can only get him to learn "ma ma ma ma ma".
