I returned from Texas this evening and although I love being there, it is so nice to return to my own home.
On this trip, in addition to seeing our family, Brett and I were able to see many friends. Spending time with our friends was a nice reminder that when we finally return to The Lone Star State for good, we'll have many great friendships there to welcome us home.
Brett has four more weeks left of his internship, but he's coming to CA for a visit in two weeks. I can't wait for him to get back here!
We're both looking forward to him coming home.

Are you sure you have to return to the Lone Star state? I don't want you to :(
I'm starting a petition to keep the Paulsons in Cali. Texas can't be an indian giver and ask for you guys back after giving you to us.
I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon with Shannon and Annika. I can't imagine not having "Club Paulson" local...I'll be the first signature on that petition!
OK everyone. Please don't get so upset. We're not going back any time soon. :)
Dear Angie,
I have to tell you that I truly appreciate your Cali friends and their enthusiasm for you to stay.
I like these people. You know where they would fit in nicely, don't you?? Yes, they should DEFINITELY come visit once you are back home. In Texas. Where you belong.
If they like it (as I'm guessing they will), they can move here, too. Texas doesn't discriminate; she's got a big heart like that.

p.s. it must be nice to be so wanted, huh?
Wow - it looks like we're going to start a Paulson tug-of-war. As a former Bay Area-er that has now come home to Texas, I promise you it can be done!
Sure, we don't have the wine country, or the Bay, or the Giants, or the amazing weather...but we do have 100+ heat, the State Fair where everything is fried, Texas Football, and lots of people who love you.
So come home - and when you get here, give little Harper Sherrard a friend to play with (and Ellie doesn't count)!
