Random random random

Charlotte & Ruby
Random post here.

I am so behind on posting things on the blog right now.  I haven't even copied pictures off of my cameras in about a month.  Lots going on.  I have the urge each day to update the blog but then I get into something else and then I forget.  I've been taking the pictures so at least I have kept up with the important part!

I have a museum visit from two months ago and even a trip to Happy Hollow when Gigi was here last that I need to post.  She's coming to visit again in a few weeks so perhaps I should post both visits at one time.  That's a good plan.  We had our first family picnic recently and I got some cute pics of the crew outside.

The girls have been doing lots of new things developmentally and they turned 7 months old a few days ago.  Oh yeah, and I never did get around to posting their first solid food experience like I said I would a month ago. I'll do it soon.

All three kids are sleeping in the same room now.  Say what?  Oh yes they are.  I can actually go in my room after 7pm and turn on the light. It's life changing, really.

We are looking for a new house full force and that seems to take up lots of my limited internet time and plain ole thinking and talking time with Brett at night after the kids are in bed.  Hence the lack of posting.

It's been a little bit rough around here lately with the girls eating solids and changing their nap times so it feels like we're on lock down a lot and can't get out of the house.  Or at least it's not worth the trouble to get out since it takes so long to get three kids loaded up.  Throw in a defiant toddler and it's a no-go. Today Hank was at preschool and I was able to load up the girls and get out on a walk.  I am embarrassed to admit this but I can't even remember if I have ever gone out on a walk with only the two of them and me.  It kills me because walking with the stroller was such a big part of my life, everyday almost (at least until I had to start resting due to complications), before the girls came.  But with three kids it's been just too much and I haven't fared well in the going on walks department.  (We normally load up and drive to a park with a fenced in area because it's easier.)  But don't you worry.  I just ordered a new stroller that's supposed to be a fix for this so just you wait.  It's a Mother's Day present for me, from me.  Fingers crossed it works as promised.

I leave you with the photo above that I took today of Charlotte and Ruby.  I sent it to Brett while we were out and he said he already set it as his phone screen saver and he keeps looking at it because his girls are just so cute.  I love how he is so smitten with these two sweeties.  Notice they are dressed alike?  Lately I have been having the urge to dress them the same, like two little twins.  I can't help it.  I can't stop it.  They look so cute that way.  I never thought I'd do it very often but it seems like it is happening a lot more lately!

OK, I better wrap this up.  I am only writing this because I am procrastinating working on the grocery list.  Trader Joe's closes in 40 minutes so I probably should get a move on.  Brett is chanting over and over sending me subliminal messages "you need to go to the store".  It's OK Brett.
