Forts

One day last week I made Hank a fort thinking it would be a good way to burn up the morning.  I was right!  Hank loved the little cave I made him.  He kept saying that he wanted his trains in the dark so we set up a little track that went from the outside world into the darkness and he loved it.

It was also crazy outfit day if you can tell.

The thing is, Hank hasn't quite mastered the concept of "if I destroy the fort there is no more fort".  He would destroy the fort and then turn around and beg me to set it up again.  I'd be lying if I said I didn't get annoyed at making the fort 100 times that day.  Each time I made the fort I'd try to do a new configuration with the couch cushions, trying to make it cooler than the last one in the hopes that he'd leave it be.  Nope.  All in vain.  All forts come down in 5 minutes or less.  But he was having a blast so it was worth it. Good mommy.

He is asking..."put fort up, please?"

The little fort destroyer in action.

He is saying "Hi Mom.  I hide."  I was saying "Oh wow.  You sure are hiding.  I can't even see you even though you are looking right at me and I'm taking your picture."  Cutie pie.
