Hank's first train ride

Last Saturday Brett took Hank on his first ride on a real train!  They rode the Caltrain from the California Avenue stop by our house all the way down to San Jose Diridon station.  The girls and I dropped them off and then picked them up in SJ (which is right next door to the apartment complex where we lived back in the day!)

When we picked them up we went to Chipotle by the train station and grabbed some lunch and met up with my good friend Julie.

The girls enjoying watching me eat my lunch.

Hank stuffing a lot of food in his mouth.

The highlight of lunch was a little Thomas the Train bath tub toy that Julie gave him.  It was a "big brother" gift but it was perfect for celebrating his very first train ride!  He LOVES this toy!

Here he is giving his toy its inaugural bath!  He is so happy he has this toy.  He likes to go get it from the bathroom and bring it all over the house.  It has forced me to remember to dump out the water...lesson learned...I don't need bath water all over the house.

Brett can't wait to take Hank on a train ride again.  Hank had so much fun and he was yelling "choo choo"
over and over again and it was a total blast for both of them.  Whenever the train would stop at a station, Hank would start begging for "more" because he wanted the train to start moving again.  I have a movie Brett made and I'll get it posted this weekend.

It was also so great to see my pal Julie!  We are in Junior League together and we hardly have time to see each other besides at our meetings.  I was so happy she finally got to meet the girls!  (Sadly, I didn't get a pic of her.)
