Putting up the tree

Hank got to help me put up the tree this year.  We put it up a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday morning while the girls napped.  Normally I love to get it up ASAP after Thanksgiving, but this year we were lucky to find time to do it!
He was loving the step ladder and he went up and down the steps a thousand times.

The lights were a big hit for him.  Even now he loves turning on the tree every morning when he gets up.  Every time the tree lights up his face lights up too and he gets the biggest smile!

Doesn't he look like the Grinch here?  The cutest little Grinch.

Dad, please stop napping and help us.

I was nervous about having the tree up with our curious little Hank.  But it has turned out to be no problem at all.  I didn't put any breakable ornaments on the bottom half of the tree and we only used about 20% of the ornaments that we have.  I also forgot about the ribbon garland that I usually put on the tree so we got the tree decorated in no time, even with Hank's "help".  He has enjoyed looking at all of the ornaments and taking them off of the tree.  But it's no big deal because I taught him how to hang them back up when he's done playing with them.  Also, he hasn't even noticed the boxes under the tree.  I have no idea why but he hasn't bothered one single present.  Yay!
