Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our Toyota 4Runner that we owned for 10.5 years. I know it's so lame, but my eyes filled with tears as Brett drove away in the 4Runner to go buy the van. (Blame it on the hormones but that car just holds a special place in my heart.) I know it's just a car but it was our first new car to ever own (which seemed like a big deal to us when we were 23), we got it soon after we graduated from undergrad, it has been from the east coast to the west coast on our adventures, we brought Hank home from the hospital in it, and it holds so many memories for us.
I am very curious to see if we'll turn into a long term minivan family or if we'll go back to an SUV once the kiddos are bigger and don't need as much help to get locked in to their seats. So many moms say once you get a van you never go back. We'll see.
For now, we're enjoying our new swagger wagon. Check out this video Sandy sent me. It's hilarious.
