Fun in the sun

On Saturday we spent the afternoon with our friends Sarah and Colin and their little girls Kate and Jillian.  They have a great back yard complete with a ton of outdoor fun for little ones.  Kate and Hank had so much fun together - or at least Hank was having fun following her around and playing with all of her toys.  (Jillian is only 9.5 months old so she didn't really get in on the action with these two.)  Sarah is a wonderful friend and on top of that, it is so much fun to get our kids together.  It has been great to see how they play more and more together as they get older.

When refilling the kiddie pool, Kate and Hank had some fun with the water hose.  It was hilarious to see!  They both kept trying to take drinks from the hose and every time they would get blasted in the face with water and then start laughing uncontrollably.  (Even when the water shot up their nose or made them gasp they were relentless and kept trying it again!)

I love the smile Hank has in this picture.  He is truly enjoying watching Kate try to conquer the water hose, even though they both know it's going to end with Kate getting water all over her face!

Hank ran around in their yard for over three hours and only stopped long enough to scarf down dinner...then he was off again.  Kate enjoyed showing Hank all of her tricks - like how to jump off of the seat and into the pool.  Hank loves anything that has to do with jumping so he was all over it.  Luckily it was quickly time to go dunk him in the bathtub so we could head home to tuck him into bed, so he didn't get to try this new stunt but a few times.

We love spending time with this adorable family!
