I put together this step stool recently for the bathroom. Ever since he watched me put it together he has been trying to work on things all around the house with his pretend screwdriver - a beater from my hand mixer. He opened one of the drawers in the kitchen one day, pulled out the beater, walked up to the step stool and started to work on it. I've coined this as "Hank is doing work". Whenever he is underfoot or I need him to go find something to do for a few minutes (and give me a breather!) I open the bathroom door so he can get in there. I say "Hey Hank how about you go do some work" then he runs off to get his pretend screwdriver from the kitchen and goes into the bathroom to do some work. I love it!
