Christmas creep

Note:  After publishing this I realized the title of "Christmas Creep" might make it look like I am calling Hank a creep.  This is not the case! ha ha! Keep reading to see what I mean.

 

The Christmas Creep has officially begun around here.  Court just told me about this phrase and I love it.  My local "soft rock" radio station has already started the Christmas carols around the clock and I couldn't be happier.  Brett knew I would love it and called me from his car the other day to say "hey the Christmas carol station has started".  He knows me so well!  Don't get me wrong, I love me some Thanksgiving - seriously love it - but I really am excited for Christmas this year.  Last year's Christmas was a blur because we had a three week old baby and you know how that is.  So this year I'm making up for it.

Hank got a new Christmas stocking this week from Gigi!  I never got around to making Hank a stocking last year so it was perfect that Gigi sent him one! (There are lots of things on the list that I haven't gotten around to doing, but I am working on it, it's a 12-step process to recovery from the disease of procrastination).  I think I'll make Brett and me stockings to match his new one.  I have two things I want to make for Christmas this year.  Ok three, two stockings and one new wreath.  If I make it public here on the blog maybe I'll actually do it so I don't shame myself.

And just because we have a one year old in the house, it doesn't mean we aren't doing a Christmas tree!  I'll just build a fence around it or something.  OK maybe I shouldn't add the fence to my list.  I'll just work on playing defense in front of the tree when Hank is in the room.  That's easier and doesn't require any materials.
