First Easter. First seersucker pants.
We had his four month doctor's appointment. He had fun destroying the paper on the table in the doctor's office. He was also a trooper again with the shots. A little bit of crying and then everything was OK.
He is so much fun to play with. I spend a large portion of my time trying to make him laugh. It's hard to be in a bad mood when this guy is laughing. Baby laughs are so sweet.
More playgroup fun!

Courtney came out to visit us for a week. It was great to have her here to hang out with for so long. She had a blast with Hank and she was so good at playing with him and cracking him up all the time!

Hank spent a weekend with us ladies while Brett was in Pismo with the guys. We did dinner at Sandy's and then hit the Ritz for Sunday Brunch to celebrate Sandy's little bundle of joy that's on the way!
We also stopped using a pacifier. I was at my wit's end with him spitting it out and then getting upset and wanting it back in. I decided it was time to go. It took about a day for him to get used to going to sleep without the pacifier and now he goes to sleep much easier. Also, it was a pain to fish it out from behind the crib. This is Courtney on pacifier retrieval duty. Imagine having to do that in the middle of the night! I'm still saving the pacifier for use during special times - like the car or out in public when he has a melt down. We haven't had to use it yet but I'm keeping it in my bag of tricks for him.
Hank figured out how to suck on his toes. This picture is from the first time I caught him doing this! I saw a little fuzz in his mouth right before this and then I realized it was fuzz from his toes and that he had been putting them in his mouth. Now he does this every time I change his diaper. Or lay him down to get him dressed. Or lay him down to let him play. Pretty much any time he is on his back, those feet are in his mouth.
He's loving his exersaucer now. We've been using this a lot lately and it has been fun to watch him learn how to use it and discover all the contraptions.
For a while there we were dealing with Hank rolling all over the place in his crib and waking himself up because he had rolled onto his tummy. Now he rolls onto his tummy almost instantly when I lay him down to sleep. There's nothing I can do to stop it so I just leave him that way now. He loves to sleep with his hands under his cheeks or on his face. It's really adorable.
The other night I came in to feed him and I found him like this. Hands behind his head like he was just waiting on me to come get him. Needless to say he was completely awake after I took a picture of him using the flash...good thing it was still early in the evening.
April has been good. We love having this sweet little baby in our lives.
