Today, Brett's startup just became legit. Now that there is cash in the bank, he has to get down to bizness. It's been a lot of fun having him around non-stop since his graduation, but the thought of him bringing in a paycheck for the first time in two years is kinda nice too!
Congrats Brett & Leon, you did it!

It's Brett's birthday!
Today is Brett's birthday! We returned from Hawaii on Friday night but we pretended our vacation didn't end until today, on Brett's birthday. Yesterday, we celebrated his birthday early in SF with Brett's good friend Ben from high school and his wife Amy who were in town visiting. (Sadly, I forgot to take a picture.) Today, we relaxed away the day, and just kept the vacation vibe going in honor of Brett!
Happy Birthday B!

Independence Day

By the time you read this, we'll be on a plane to Maui! It's been a very long time since Brett and I went on a vacation with just the two of us and we'll be gone for a whole week. We can't wait.
Happy 4th of July!! Aloha!

And baby makes four
Oh by the way, I haven't gotten around to mentioning it here on the Blogtacular, but Brett and I are expecting a new addition to our family around Thanksgiving. I'm already 19 weeks along and the time has flown by so far. This week we found out that we're having a BOY! We're very excited because now that we know what we're having, it makes all the planning and purchases so much easier. We're looking forward to our little family growing in November. Amidst all the excitement this week, I did feel a little sorry for Ellie because the poor thing has no clue what's about to happen to her world! This baby is going to grow into a very curious little boy who's going to be very interested in the little furry thing that's always running around.
Yes, I know that in the above picture it's not obvious that it's a boy, but I am a modest gal and didn't want to post the one with the evidence!

Multiple matrimonies

On June 20th, we had three weddings to celebrate but unfortunately, we couldn't attend them all. We went to Nick & Lorianne's here in San Francisco and had a wonderful time. The ceremony was touching and the reception was out of this world gorgeous and creative. It was a great night and we tried to stay until the bride & groom made their exit, but at 1:30am we had to call it a night. Apparently, this party was not ending any time soon. My feet hurt for two days from all the dancing we did.

Our friends Tom & Pam were married the same day up in Washington. From all accounts, this was a fabulous party as well! We were happy we were able to attend their engagement party here in CA back in April.
Last, but not least, Cousin Heidi and Mark were married in Minnesota. It was a family wedding we were very sad to miss but we were able to celebrate with them at their pre-wedding party earlier this month down in Southern California!
Best wishes to all of the newlyweds!
